Managing Ownership of an Article

  • Last updated on February 3, 2020 at 4:50 AM

Elevio keeps track of who interacted with an article in three different ways:

  • Owner: Primary editor of the article
  • Creator: Initial creator of the article
  • Contributors: Editors that have made changes to the article

While the creator of an article never changes the owner can be freely reassigned. Contributors are added automatically when changes are made.

The owner of an article will be assigned any Hub cards for the article, like feedback and requests for improvement. They will also receive all email notifications related to the article.

Updating the owner only takes effect when you publish an article.

Creator and Contributors have no special relationship with the article and exist solely for documentation and reporting.

Previously Owner and Creator were the same field and called Author.
