What is a page view?

A page view occurs anytime a page is loaded that has the Elevio Assistant installed on it.

If your site is an SPA (single page app) the count may be higher than what you may see in some other reporting system like Google Analytics as each URL change will also incur a "page view". This is to allow the Assistant to reload settings to show any new hotspots or helpers, make sure suggestions are accurate, and make sure any smart groups that use URLs are recalculated.

We use "page views" as a broad metric for pricing as we don't want to penalise you for people making good use of Elevio, and we really don't want to penalise companies that have a high support load. That's not right.
Instead, we want to help you reduce that support load with an increased use of Elevio services.

The number of times a user views an article or a helper is not included in the page view counts, there is no limit there.
