Where to start?

There's a lot of features in Elevio, so when kicking off a trial, it can be a bit overwhelming. In general, we recommend setting up a few basics and going from there.

Here's a quick video to get you started (everything is also laid out in text below if that's your jam):Here's a quick trial to-do list:

  1. Create a few articles from your content dashboard. There's a few placeholder articles there for you to get you started.
Content is the core of what we do, so getting a feel for the editor is a great place to start.
Time required: 5-10 mins (unless you decide to go content crazy!)
  2. Head to your modules page and create a module (or two), create a form, embed a page, whatever you might need.
Time required: 2-5 minutes per module you decide to set up.
  3. Head to your settings page and spruce up your version of Elevio, make it suit your look.
Time required: 1 minute to flick some settings about.
  4. Now that you've done that, hover over the gear in the bottom left corner of your Elevio menu and hit preview to see what you've made in action!
  5. When you're ready, copy the code snippet from the installation page and add the Elevio Assistant to your site to go live.

Don't worry too much about getting all the content you think you might need written, as you'll likely end up writing things people won't need and your setup time will be much longer.

Instead, we strongly recommend writing up all the basic content you know you'll need, and relying on your reporting and the Hub to intelligently fill in the gaps. You can find a guide on making use of your data here.
