Search Engine Optimisation is a key concern for many of our users, and for good reason.
Making sure your knowledge content is being offered to customers via Google (or their preferred search engine) can be the difference between a customer effectively self-solving their issue or another unnecessary support ticket.
In general, Elevio follows the standard Google SEO guidelines.
Here are some of the ways we handle SEO at Elevio.
The Knowledge Base:
The Knowledge Base content is indexed and the following data is taken to populate the appropriate meta tags:
- Category Data
- Article Body Data
- Article Title Data
- Article Keywords Data
In order to make sure the right content is being shown when potential customers search for you, make sure to use your keywords effectively
Another useful tool when checking for SEO Optimisation is PageSpeed
The Assistant and its impact on SEO:
The Elevio Assistant is intentionally loaded after the page has finished loading to minimise any potential impact on page load speeds, which can impact SEO.
Please Note: As the assistant does not have a URL it cannot be crawled/indexed by any search engine.
